The IPS appliances Checkmarq delivers are fully managed by Checkmarq and it's partners. So Carefree by Checkmarq doesn't just mean 'Plug 'n' Play' IPS appliance, it also means that after the 'Plug' you don't have to do anything yourself. And fully managed also means that the IPS appliances are monitored by our people, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. If a customers IPS appliance fails, they get notified about this and Checkmarq Support, or the reseller, take immediate actions following up to the agreed Service Level.

With the development of the VBX-Series appliances, we also implemented the 'Carefree by Checkmarq' policy. All VBX-Series are standard monitored 24/7/365. However, since the VBX-Series have more variables with installation, like Legacy set-up, Hybrid set-up, VoIP set-up, type of phone-lines, phone terminals, and so on, we shifted the Service Level support completely to the reseller/integrator, since they are the people that really know your complete installation. Result; the VBX-Series are monitored by Checkmarq's monitoring farms, and we provided our certified resellers complete access to our monitoring farms for their customers.

This way, Checkmarq can always guarantee 'Carefree' monitoring, even if you shift reseller/integrator for any reason, or in the odd case a reseller/integrator decides to stop doing business; when you have a new reseller/integrator all they have to do is get certified with Checkmarq, and they can take over your support. In the time between, Checkmarq's support team takes care of your 'Carefree' working appliance.

In some special cases, corporate policies don't allow external monitoring, and don't even have any network connections to the outside world at all. The 'Carefree by Checkmarq' is not mandatory and can be switched off, but we even have the option to put a server, derived from our monitoring farms, inside the location wanted, so internal support can have all the tools Checkmarq and it's certified resellers have, to monitor the appliances.
